About Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Cansaf Creative Teaming has a wealth of experience in and around the mighty Victoria Falls – one of the greatest natural wonders in the World. The area abounds with so many different leisure and adventure activities that you probably won’t have time to do them all! The vast curtain of falling water – coupled with the unspoiled rainforest perched on the lip of the 100m crevice, provides the perfect exotic location for your group or company adventure in Africa.
It’s a short stroll down from the town to the entrance to the falls. The town has the same name as the waterfall, sometimes presenting a little confusion to visitors, so be aware that when you say “Victoria Falls” you could be interpreted as meaning the town, or the waterfall itself.
For the uninitiated, “Vic Falls” was known by the locals as Mosi-oa-tunya, which means “the Smoke that Thunders”, then along came David Livingstone in 17 November 1855, and named them after his queen. Ever since then the unusually accessible waterfall has been a source of amazement and inspiration for anybody taking the time to visit them. The rainforest, the spray, the gaping chasm and the abundant wildlife cannot fail to impress even the most cynical of travellers.Add to that the sheer number of adventure & leisure activities, the superb hotels and lodges, and the friendly Zimbabwean and Zambian people!
