In times of peace the warriors (Ijoni) train with single minded dedication,
knowing that the honour of the village rests upon their fighting and
survival powers.
An Ijoni is proud of his heritage and has the dignity
of a man confident of his skills.
Our Interactive Nature Trail takes place in a beautiful secluded valley of the Chobe Forest Reserve; about 20 minutes drive from the Chobe Hotels.
This is the ideal venue for the operation of our Interactive Nature Trail. This programme takes the form of a series of competitive tasks, pitting one team against another, in a survivor type of format.
By its very nature this is 'Survival', it's about working as a group, a Team, travelling together through the wilds, the unknown, relying and depending on one another.
Competing against opposition teams in a series of specifically designed challenges, in an incredible location, to outmanoeuvre and outsmart your way to initiation and crowning as the Spirit of 'Ijoni - Umkhonto' - The Warrior Spear!
The activities are structured to suit the capabilities of the group.
Elephant, buffalo and other wildlife frequently pass through the area. For any programme that we run here, we ensure that the area is well monitored prior to, and during the event by a professional guide. Note this programme does not demand strenuous exercise and is for all age groups from very young to the elder more refined guests.
