Steam Train Bridge Run
Available in Zimbabwe and Zambia. In Zambia, the Group will be collected from the hotel Reception Area and transferred to a rustic rail siding, “Palm Grove”, for their Historical Steamtrain Bridge Experience. This transfer is an approximate 5 minutes drive. On arrival the group will be welcomed by a choir of Acapella singers dressed in traditional attire. At the end of a red carpet lined with palm trees, the guests will be greeted with a glass of chilled fresh fruit juice as they board the carriages. The Train is a beautifully restored 1922, class 12, steam locomotive. Passengers are attended to, by fully liveried waiters, in keeping with the colonial theme. This is an old-fashioned steam train journey to the impressive Victoria Falls Bridge, an historical landmark that was completed in 1905.
Enjoy sundowners, (local beers, wines, minerals and cordials with snacks) served by the ever-attentive waiters. Stop on the bridge for a sundowner, sit in the luxury and comfort of the lounging car or wander along on this beautiful bridge, whilst viewing the majestic Vic Falls with it’s breathtaking, picturesque gorge and the turbulent Zambezi River 110m below.
