African Queen Sunset Cruise
Please note that only local drinks are served. Wine and Premium brands are extra and a cash bar is available for these.
African Extravaganza Village Dinner (Including sample menu).
We would recommend the entertainment enhancement of Makishi Dancers for the evening.
African Ethnic Chitenge Shirts are an excellent giveaway option for this evening. Room dropped the night before or in the afternoon prior to the Village Dinner or Bush Dinner, the shirts can also be subtly embroidered with the Company logo.
Additional Option (Interactive Drumming Session)
Either before or after dinner, depending on the group’s requirements, there would be an interactive drumming session. We recommend that the drumming is done before dinner as the group arrive in the Village. A well positioned Boma area can accommodate the group for the activity before the group move through to the dinner area. The warriors would lead the group down the path, with flares, to the Boma area of the village. The dining area would remain dark and the path to the Boma would be lit by lanterns.
The group will arrive to a boma bonfire with tonga stools arranged in a semi-circle in front of the fire. Once seated Waiters will serve the group a drink and plated snacks. We would recommend a pre-poured welcome drink be served in order to avoid too much waiter service getting in the way of the drumming session. Other lighting within the boma will be made up of strategically placed flare torches and lanterns.
An introduction to the drumming session will be made and the event will begin. This session will last for 45 minutes before the group will now make their way into the Dining area.
The path to the dining area will now be lit by flares and lanterns. The Village is supplied with standard 240V mains power and as such there will be ambient and electric lighting which will be well hidden, in keeping with the village theme. There will also be paraffin lamps, oil flares and large fires to enhance the atmosphere.
